Well on the 14th day...Kelli and Spade rested. I had full intention on waking up this morning and working with Spade. When the sun came up the thought of another three or four hour day in the hot sun didn't seem all that appealing. I have worked with this guy 14 days straight!! My hands hurt, we are both sore and Spade is doing really well so I started doing other things once I got moving this morning. There is a large benefit barrel race happening this Sunday at my arena so we worked all day to make sure the pen is in top condition. I LOVE to mow! But before I jumped on the tractor I went out and haltered Spade and pet him and lead him around a bit. Then off to the tractor to cut all this bitter weed out of the barn pasture. I was a little worried about using the brush hog around the new round pen. I didn't want to scare Spade bad enough for him to run through a fence or hurt himself. I was shocked to see that he was fine with the whole thing. He would just move to the other end face me and wait for me to go by. He is getting so much better and has become quite the celebrity. He gets lots of visitors.
SO I leave you with this thought tonight...Sometimes when you have to much on your plate, you just have to go to the trash can and scrape alittle off! *Smile* Rest is a good thing.
